"You aren't my babysitter, little cousin." As if. If anything, he was the one watching over Itachi and Sasuke when they were kids. /He/ was the eldest. When they finally entered Itachi's chosen shop, he added, "You know, I may be paying for your dango addiction, but don't think I won't leave you with the bill tonight." Under the other's sharp eyes, Shisui doubted he would get away with it, but oh, he would try. (He never claimed to be the mature one.)

For a little while, Itachi just ignored Shisui as they walked into the shop and while they ordered. Then he looked back at his cousin with a slight little, knowing smirk. “If you try that, you might end up paying double instead of just the Dango.” The younger one warned, waiting for his favorite dango to be served. 


She wore flowers in her hair and carried magic secrets in her eyes. She spoke to no one. She spent hours on the riverbank and had midnight swims.

His face was stoic enough that she didn’t catch on to the real way he was looking at her. He merely seemed concentrated or lost in thought. “The east gate?” She asked as he passed her up. “Okay then.”

He knew there was no need to look behind him because she was following close by. Itachi and Sakura soon exited the gate and were now heading into the depths of the forest. Some of the trees were different from the others and they were soon following what could seem like a path. “It should take us almost an hour walking on food.” He looked back at her with a slight smirk. “We have plenty of time to talk, if you wish to ask any questions.”

“Man, am I glad that mission is over!” The pinkette said, stretching her arms over her shoulders as the five of them (Itachi, Yamato, herself, Sasuke and Naruto) walked through the open gate of the Leaf village. “You said it, Sakura-chan!” Naruto responds as he followed close behind her. They had gotten back from a month long mission in the area of the Hidden Cloud village, chasing after some rogues who took a scroll from one of the smaller villages near the Hidden Leaf. “As far as I know, Itachi and I has to report this to Lady Hokage,” Yamato speaks up as Naruto and Sasuke began to bicker. Sakura is trying to mediate the pair and Yamato shook his head towards the pair. “We will meet you guys for dinner at the Barbecue pit tonight around six?”

Sakura nods her head as she follows behind her two other team-mates, giggling softly at their antics. After all these years, they still fought like children—she thought it to be adorable. They came upon the Uchiha compound and Mikoto stood outside and immediately hugged Sasuke, who laughed a little and said, “‘Kaasan, not in front of my teammates.”

Mikoto pouts and pulls back to smile at Sakura and says, “So, has either of my boys asked you out yet?” This caused Sakura to flush a light pink and Sasuke to sputter in shock at his mother’s words.

[朱]— The team interacted as they usually did whenever a mission was over, with their captain watching in amusement while they did so. But his onyx eyes were concentrated on a certain pink haired female, finding himself smiling lightly whenever she did so as well. He nodded at what Yamato said and the two headed over towards the Hokage tower, where they gave their report to lady Tsunade who apparently, preferred to listen to something less detailed than the usual so they complied. This was alright with the elder Uchiha because the sooner they were finished, the sooner he returned home.

When he did so, about twenty minutes later, his brother and his team mates were there. As usual, Sasuke and Naruto were discussing on who is best at another certain activity while Sakura tried to mediate between the two and his mother had those big, glistening eyes while starring at the cherry blossom. Possibly thinking on when she will be a part of the family. It was no secret to his mother that Itachi liked the girl but he was still rather uncertain whether if she felt the same way for him or if his brother was the lucky winner of her heart. Guess they will find out soon anyway.

Arriving, he kissed his mother’s forehead as he always did in greeting and nodded back at his brother and the Uzumaki, taking off his ANBU Captain gear while heading upstairs to his room, not bothering to take off his shirt as well in the process before hiding from their sights and reaching the bedroom.

  • What they said: Sakura is useless.
  • What I heard: Despite her growing up with talentless civilian parents and being ignored by her gennin sensei, I will hold Sakura to the standards set by the son of the Fourth Hokage who has a limitless chakra source inside him and the heir to the Uchiha clan who wouldn't have done anything out of the ordinary if it weren't for his inherited magical eyes and a curse seal. I am incapable of judging her on her own, so I won't acknowledge how amazing it is that despite her origins she became a tremendous medical ninja, helped defeat a member of Akatsuki, and saved hundreds of lives all at the age of 15. I will constantly compare her to the two most haxed characters in the world who wouldn't have done anything special if not for circumstances of birth because I'm dumb.

“Oooooof course. Well let’s go then!” The excited young woman chirped and hopped down the stairs. Truth be told, her teammates were only a small fraction of her thoughts at the moment. Excitement and anticipation made up about 99% of them. When she noticed he wasn’t right behind her, she turned around and tilted her head in confusion. “You coming? Or am I supposed to find this place by myself?”

Well. Itachi smirked in amusement at her excitement, though he was walking much slower than she was now, looking after her while she went up faster and then stopped to look at him. Why was he looking at her like that in the first place? He appeared normal though because he recovered from his stupor fast and nodded once back at her, catching up with Sakura and going past her a little so she follows him. “We must head out the east gate."
