Contrasting Canon and RTN Itachi

• In canon, Itachi is a pacifist and prevents any kind of fight as long as he can. || In RTN, he doesn’t mind fighting at all, and is always up to the challenge to the point of maybe provoking a battle or intimidating the opponent into doing so (As it was seen in the movie when he activated his Sharingan against Obito/Tobi).

• His Sharingan is always active or at least, most of the time. Has used the Mangekyo several times as well, leading to blindness.  || He only activates it when necessary, and hasn’t used his Mangekyo much at all so he’s not blind yet.

• He has an incurable condition that leads to his eventual death, also affecting his stamina. || He’s healthy, and has more stamina.

• Itachi is quiet, reserved and keeps everything to himself. || He’s more expressive.

• Has no interest in romance or sexual situations. Completely immune to flirts or other forms of seduction. || Itachi is a smooth talker, flirtatious and seductive though in a very disguised way, unlike his brother Sasuke.

• He’s selfless when it comes to the village and those he cares for. || Is more selfish and somewhat possessive with those he cares for.

• Is a member of the Akatsuki. || Is the leader.

Moods

Although Itachi has always been a stoic man, with an indifferent attitude, there are certain things that always manage to get him in a mood. First, he easily gets annoyed when he’s hungry, causing him to use sarcasm as a way of snapping back at whoever bothers him. Or he simply uses one of those witty comebacks. Also, the Uchiha gets bothered easily by hypocrisy, and by those who see themselves as superiors to others. When it comes to good moods, you’ll know instantly when he’s relaxed and comfortable when he begins doing jokes, even if his expression doesn’t appear to be a joking one. The man also smiles more and on very rare occasions, he would even hum softly to himself while doing something such as reading, writing or cooking.

Another Sharingan thing: reactions.

A little fact that many people outside of the Uchiha clan were unaware of, was the self activation of the Sharingan as a reaction to the feelings of its user. Even though Itachi isn’t one to use the kekkei genkai much unless it is necessary in a fight, this reaction is something that not even he can control. Whenever he feels strongly, either it be anger, lust or sadness; the Sharingan activates as a sort of reaction or response to the strong emotions. Most commonly though, it happens when they feel very attracted towards someone, or if they are aroused by said person.

The lines under his eyes

The lines under his eyes have turned into a somewhat signature trait of Itachi Uchiha due to how prominent they are. They appeared due to many obvious reasons like lack of sleep, constant training and stress, along with others. However, once he left the village and founded the mercenary organization Akatsuki, the young male has managed to actually get some sleep, eat how he’s supposed to and still accomplish missions and other responsibilities that his position as leader requires. Soon, the lines began to fade until they almost disappeared, leaving only some small shadows in their place.

loyalty, urge, instinct headcanons

Loyalty

No matter how much some people try to deny it, loyalty is a very important and influential fact in the lives of many. Itachi of course is no exception to this. Back when he was still the heir of the Uchiha clan and now that he’s leader of the mercenary organization, the loyalty of his clans people and members is extremely valuable. You cannot run a whole group or a clan without having their loyalty and trust, after all. It’s because of this that the Uchiha himself is loyal to those he loves and cares for the most though it does take a long amount of time for him to learn to trust those who are new in his life.

Urge

Although some people do seem to have immense control over their urges and desires, it’s practically impossible to resist forever and of course, the young Uchiha man knows what it’s like to have those. He knows what it is to desire what you can’t have and to resist it, the torturing process of it. However everyone needs and are driven by their urges, either fear, courage or lust; sometimes those urges can both be the greatest choice ever or the greatest doom.

Instinct

Instincts are one of the most important things of being a shinobi. The more you practice, the more experience you get, the sharper the instincts grow. They are a vital part of a warrior’s arsenal. Maybe it’s because of his instincts that Itachi has gotten so far, had taken the best decisions, trusted the right people. However many others ignore the instincts and just shove them off as unimportant little details which of course is a fatal mistake.

Humanity.

What does it mean to be human? What is it really like to have a humanity? In this world it seems that people go on and on about how it’s human to do something or not, now it’s right and correct or how it’s just a mistake because we are ‘only human’. Itachi’s thought on this whole humanity issue is rather simple though; you either do what you have to do to survive, or die. Whatever it is that means to be human, it all depends on perspective.

  • 19:What do they think about before falling asleep at night?

The thing about Itachi Uchiha is that he thinks way too much, about everything. Of course there are those thoughts that always seem to dominate, mostly about his family. He wonders how Sasuke is. If he ever felt abandoned, forgotten, when he left to form the Akatsuki.

Then there’s also the village as a whole, the whole nations. He thinks about the purpose of the organization, the goals, and if they are walking down the right path.

By the way, what should he eat for breakfast tomorrow? He could make an egg sandwich, with bacon– But then Deidara would probably snatch it away from him…

  • 47: How do they express love?

Itachi does show emotion though when it comes to express love:

  • •  This goes mostly for Sasuke: He pokes his forehead, shuffles his hair, punches him playfully and teases him constantly about anything.

•  Will talk to them openly, with rather long sentences instead of short ones.

•  Look at their face more than necessary.

•  Let them borrow his things.

•  Flirt with them.

•  Initiate any sort of little physical and brief contact like fingers, arms or hands touching.

•  Listen to the other person when they talk, whatever it is they’re talking about, even if it’s boring.

•  Gets slightly over protective.

•  Shares things from his past with them.

•  When alone with that special person, he’s all smiles, holding hands and hugs. A kiss or two as well.

•  When making love, he’s passionate, always concentrating on his partner’s satisfaction before his own.

•  Itachi’s always been very empathetic, quite capable of understanding what others feel. With that person they love, he’s pretty clueless.

•  He spoils the person, calls them sweet names.

•  Strokes their hair while sleeping, always brings them into his arms and kisses their forehead.

•  Cooks for them.

•  Writes letters, poems and even draws when he’s really inspired.

It was on nights like these when the moon was shinning full and bright up in the middle of the night, that Itachi remembered…
