Contrasting Canon and RTN Itachi

• In canon, Itachi is a pacifist and prevents any kind of fight as long as he can. || In RTN, he doesn’t mind fighting at all, and is always up to the challenge to the point of maybe provoking a battle or intimidating the opponent into doing so (As it was seen in the movie when he activated his Sharingan against Obito/Tobi).

• His Sharingan is always active or at least, most of the time. Has used the Mangekyo several times as well, leading to blindness.  || He only activates it when necessary, and hasn’t used his Mangekyo much at all so he’s not blind yet.

• He has an incurable condition that leads to his eventual death, also affecting his stamina. || He’s healthy, and has more stamina.

• Itachi is quiet, reserved and keeps everything to himself. || He’s more expressive.

• Has no interest in romance or sexual situations. Completely immune to flirts or other forms of seduction. || Itachi is a smooth talker, flirtatious and seductive though in a very disguised way, unlike his brother Sasuke.

• He’s selfless when it comes to the village and those he cares for. || Is more selfish and somewhat possessive with those he cares for. 

• Is a member of the Akatsuki. || Is the leader.

30 Days of Character Development!

Days 4 and 5

4. How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?

Itachi is very conscious that he is in fact, very attractive. However, he never abuses of that blessing because sometimes, he considers it a curse because whenever a girl falls for him, he’s doubtful as to why she did so. For his looks only or for whom he is?

5. What’s your character’s rating on the Kinsey Scale?

In the scale, Itachi would fall to a 1 rating. Predominantly heterosexual but could incidentally have homosexual tendencies. 



Past Engagement

A while ago before Itachi left the village and formed Akatsuki, his father and the Hyuga clan’s leader agreed on having both their heirs engaged for marriage. Those were Itachi and Hinata but neither of them wanted such thing. The only time the two of them talked during their betrothal, both heirs had expressed their disagreement and so the Uchiha had told the heiress to not worry, for soon, their engagement would be no more. Afterwards, the engagement only became another reason in the list of why Itachi left the village.  

(This doesn’t have to apply to Hinatas if they don’t want to. It’s just an idea.)

Love and Sex

Unlike popular belief, Itachi has fallen in love once, a long time ago. To be exact, he was thirteen years old when his heart started to melt and clench in his chest at the sight of the that certain girl. He had loved her with all his being and that time when he was with her, were the happiest days of his life. But like everything that is good, it didn’t last and one day when that girl, another team mate and himself were on a mission, she was killed right in front of his eyes. What made it all worse? She died saving him, because of one mistake he did. The sight of her dying was the trigger to awaken his Mangekyo Sharingan.

He was never the same since that day. 

As time passed after that incident, Itachi’s heart was shut and he found himself searching for a woman’s warmth in random girl’s arms; flirting with them, making him feel that he was still worth of being loved and desired. But the guilt never left. However as years passed, he learned to live with the pain and the loss and it all felt better the moment he left the village and created the Akatsuki. He no longer felt so alone though he still had his habits of enjoying female ‘company’. 

As a lover, Itachi is passionate and almost all the time, he makes sure that his lover is satisfied before satisfying himself. He enjoys the look of pure ecstasy on their face and perhaps this is why he is so popular among the ladies, because of his ‘gentleman’ ways.

Even so, Itachi still believes that one day he will find the one woman who will open his heart again and make him feel just how strong love can be; make him feel the strongest  and happiest of all men. Who knows? Maybe he’s already met her…

Likes/Dislikes

Itachi doesn’t hate things only that he prefers some over others. In terms of food, he enjoys sweets, the reason behind this being that ever since a child, he wasn’t allowed to take any sweets so when he did sneak his way into eating them, he loved the taste. His favorite combination is some good Dango and a mug of green tea.

Also, he likes flowers and the different scents and colors. He  likes to look at them and enjoys the soothing emotions that flourish in him whenever he’s in the middle of a garden. It’s an escape from the chaos of battle.

Another of his escapes are books. Itachi enjoys reading a lot and he is quite addicted to this, always needing to read different things which also has helped in his intelligence. It’s because of all the fantastic worlds he’s read in those books that he began to draw and he ended up being an amazing artist. Though when he was a child and showed his talent in arts to his father, Fugaku told him to forget about it because an artist isn’t worth of the Uchiha tittle.

He doesn’t really dislike many things. But if he had to choose, it would be steak food, much too loud music and most of all, he hates war and battles.

The Uchiha have a particular way of dressing and Itachi was no exception to this, normally using a high collared shirt of dark colors and slightly loose pants with bandages covering his lower legs, along with a pair of standard shinobi sandals. Later on, when he made it to Jonin, he wore the green vest over similar Uchiha style clothes. Whenever there is a special kind of ocassion, the young man uses a dark gray kimono with his chest half uncovered. However now that he doesn’t live in the village, Itachi uses his Akatsuki robe over gray-blue shirt and pants, with leg warmers and shionbi sandals. All of the time, he has his hair tied up in his usual low ponytail except when he sleeps for he prefers to have his ebony strands loose and half naked.
